We’ll be playing our new song ‘Slam the door’ on Saturday at The Royal Oak in Southampton. A few lucky people have heard the initial incarnations of the song at our last two gigs but Saturday’s rendition will absolutely blow you away. We’ll be starting the recording process very soon so for those of you that can’t make the gigs, watch this space.
Nick at The Brass Monkey in Fareham has just been on the phone. He only wants us to play there on Friday 2nd September 2011. What could we do other than snap up the opportunity. Thanks Nick.
I know that quite a few venues keep checking back to our website on a regular basis. Please be aware that we’ve only got a couple of slots left for this year so if you’re thinking of booking the band you’ll need to get in quick. Check here to see how busy we are.
Great news! We’ve been offered two dates at The Crown, Littlehampton those being 22nd July and 18th November 2011. The Crown is a hugely popular music venue and have live music on what seems almost every night of the week. Thanks must go to Kevin for giving us these two slots. Rock on!

How did the gig go? I’ll let you be the judge. We were due to finish at 11pm but the audience were insistent that we played on. In the end we finished at 11:30pm! Great audience (happy birthday to the two lovely ladies who were there with their mates) and a great venue. For those who couldn’t make it, here’s what we did: Set 1 I. MONEY FOR NOTHING II. SUBSTITUTE III. CROSSROADS IV. LA…[more]
Yet again I’m sitting on the sofa after getting home from another fantastic gig, this time at The White Horse, Netley Marsh. Tonight saw some new numbers, namely Jimi Hendrix’s classic Red House and a new one of our own, Slam The Door. We had yet another stunningly brilliant crowd and it was great to see so many familiar faces. If you didn’t make it, here’s what you missed: Set 1 MONEY FOR NOTHING SUBSTITUTE…[more]
Bought this 5 - string Yamaha RBX 775 from a guy on Basschat (www.basschat.co.uk). Yamaha don’t do this model any more (God knows why), it’s switchable active/passive with an INCREDIBLY playable neck. Chucked on a new set of Rotosound Swing Bass 40 – 125′s and plugged her in. OMG ! Words cannot describe how fluid and comfy it is. It’s the first bass I’ve used which after 2 hours gigging doesn’t leave my fingers knackered. And the…[more]
